Chris de Bruin
Acenda Group CEO Chris is CEO of the Acenda Group. Resolution Life Australasia is part of the Acenda Group.Chris has more than 25 years of global executive experience in Financial Services, including Business Banking, Retail Banking, Fintech, and Digital Banking. Before joining the Acenda Group, Chris served as Chief Executive of Consumer & Business Banking at Westpac. Prior to that, Chris was the CEO of Deem Finance, a major non-bank financial institution in the Middle East. He joined Deem from Zafin, a FinTech company providing customer-centric product and pricing solutions, where he was President. Chris spent 13 years at Standard Chartered Bank, which acquired 20twenty Financial Services, the internet banking platform he co-founded, where he held senior roles across Asia and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, Chris worked as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in London.
Yvonne Le Bas
Group Chief Financial Officer BBS, MA, ICAA (Fellow), ICAEW (Fellow), FAICDBachelor of Business Studies and Master of Art from Trinity College Dublin, Graduate Management Qualification from AGSM, and is an alumni of Harvard Business School CFO leadership program, Fellow of the Australian and England & Wales Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Yvonne is the Group Chief Financial Officer for Resolution Life Australasia and has over twenty-five years commercial experience spanning across Financial Services, Property and Oil sectors, both in Australia and internationally.
Prior to Resolution Life, Yvonne held several CFO roles in the Westpac Banking Group. Yvonne has a strong interest in education and development and serves as a member of the Loreto Kirribilli School Board and is the Chair of the Ireland Funds Australia. Yvonne is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and is privileged to sit on the Provosts Council for the last 5 years.
Yvonne is also Group Chief Financial Officer for the Acenda Group.
Karen Malzard
Group Chief Risk Officer MBA (Exec), ICAA, GAICD, B CommsAs the Group Chief Risk Officer, Karen Malzard leads the Risk and Compliance team of Resolution Life Australasia.
Karen has extensive executive experience in the wealth sector of the finance industry, where she has worked in senior roles in various areas such as superannuation platforms, product, projects, strategy, finance and risk. Before, Karen held senior executive roles in different functions at Zurich Financial Services and BT Portfolios Services, and most recently as the CRO, Wealth at ANZ Bank.
Karen has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. She is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Karen is also Group Chief Risk Officer for the Acenda Group.
John Lucey
Group Chief Investment Officer BSc (Finance) , ACMA , MAppFinJohn is the Group Chief Investment Officer for Resolution Life Australasia and the Acenda Group. In his role, John is accountable for the overall investment strategy and management of RLA’s (~A$30bn) investment portfolios, optimising returns in line with risk appetite, liability profile and capital requirements. John has over 25 years’ experience in financial services both overseas and in Australia. Most recently, John held the Chief Investment Officer role at Avant Mutual Group.
Prior to that, John spent more than 12 years working for ING Investment Management and later ANZ Wealth managing diversified portfolios across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. John also spent time at Bank of Ireland Asset Management in Dublin as a portfolio manager. John holds a Masters of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University, Sydney, a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance from University College Cork (Ireland) and is a fully qualified ACMA accountant.
John is also Group Chief Investment Officer for the Acenda Group.
Nupur Bhushan
Interim Group Chief People OfficerNupur is an accomplished Chief People Officer and Commercial Leader with extensive experience leading transformation and growth.
She has held executive roles including Global Interim Chief People Officer at WiseTech Global and Chief People Officer and CEO/VP ANZ at ResMed.
Nupur also serves on the board of a not-for-profit women’s domestic violence shelter and brings strategic insight into people, culture and organisational performance.
Nupur is also Interim Chief Group People Officer for the Acenda Group.
Dean Mulheron
Chief Product & Marketing Officer MBA, MGSMDean is the Chief Product Officer for the Acenda Group and Resolution Life Australasia. He is accountable for our long-term product and marketing strategy, customer retention, growth, the strategic management of financial adviser relationships and key channel partnerships.
Dean has over 15 years’ experience in the life insurance, reinsurance, and superannuation industry across multidisciplinary functions (sales, partnerships, strategy, product and operations) working in Australia and overseas. Prior to joining Resolution Life Australasia in 2022, Dean held various leadership roles at MetLife Australia, Swiss Re and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Dean holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Management from the Macquarie University, Sydney (MGSM)
Dean is also Chief Product Officer for the Acenda Group.
Lisa Hayes
Group General Counsel Diploma Law, Bs Economics, LPABLisa is Group General Counsel and leads the Legal and Governance Chapter of Resolution Life Australasia. She has over 25 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer and senior executive in the financial services and insurance industry sectors and has previously held senior positions including Chief Risk Officer across well-known financial services businesses such as Integrity Life, Centric Wealth and Perpetual Limited.
Lisa is an experienced commercial and insurance litigator, previously acting for banks, companies and insurers whilst in private practice and has successfully led legal, risk and compliance teams in both start-up and established financial services providers in the Australian market.
As well as being admitted as a practicing solicitor in New South Wales, Lisa holds a Diploma in Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) and a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
Lisa is also Group General Counsel for the Acenda Group.
Grant Willis
Chief Executive Officer ASTERON LIFE NEW ZEALAND Bachelor of CommerceGrant Willis is a seasoned finance and insurance professional with over 30 years of experience across life and general insurance.
Under the ownership of Suncorp Group, he was CFO and later Executive General Manager, Asteron Life.
Prior to joining Asteron Life, Grant worked at AIG, ASB Bank, Sovereign and Colonial Fiji. He is a director of the New Zealand Financial Services Council (FSC) and holds a seat on the Financial Services Council, Life Chief Executives Forum.
He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, is a Chartered Accountant, and has been a member of the NZ Institute of Directors since 2015.
Francis Naoum
Chief Technology Officer RESOLUTION LIFEFrancis Naoum is a senior executive with nearly 20 years of experience in technology transformation and portfolio management. He began his career in consulting across digital transformations before moving into financial services, where he has specialised in the wealth and insurance sectors.
As Chief Technology Officer, Francis leads the organisation’s technology, data, and AI functions, as well as the enterprise delivery portfolio. He played a key role in building the technology foundations that made possible the separation from AMP, the organisation’s digital transformation, and the integration of AIA’s Super and Investments business. His focus has been on automation and modernising core platforms. He is now overseeing the integration of the Asteron Life New Zealand business.
With deep expertise in technology delivery, governance, and enterprise transformation, Francis is recognised for driving large-scale change and achieving measurable operational efficiencies.
Francis is also Chief Technology Officer for the Acenda Group.
